What an adventure we got to go on. Many of us got to go on our first gondola ride up to the top of Aspen Mountain, once at the top, on went the snow shoes. We got to search for food like mice, walk in lines to conserve energy as deer, experience the difference trees' feel when snow covers their leaves vs. their branches and dig through the snow as weasels. To end our day on we got to meet the search and rescue team and learned all about avalanche safety. Thanks to ACES we had a great, beautiful day trucking through the snow!
We are lucky to have Mr. Heisel's 4th grade class as our buddy readers. Most of the time we enjoy sharing our personal writing and reading together, this past week we thought it would be fun to practice using the Chrome Books and make paper airplanes. It was sure fun testing out the different types of planes.
Any chance we get, we love to water color paint! Here we are making Thank You cards for our volunteers. It was fun to see the hidden messages after the paint hit the paper! Here is one of the finished cards. :) Not only did we create some awesome, unique cards, but we also had a nice and calm start to our day.
We are 100 days smarter as 2nd graders. We decided to brain storm some ideas how our lives would change after not 100 days, but 100 years! Coming up with ideas about what it would be like to be 100 gave us all something to laugh about. :)
